SecoAir Systems : Proof
NorthAIR Tech has third party validation on the system’s ability to keep the air between the concrete wall and the drywall at or below a set level of humidity. Tests conducted in 2007 produced the following results:
During the initial eight hours of operation, about five litres condensation were collected and eliminated by SecoAir system™. Over the initial seventy two hour operating period, a total of 14 litres of condensate were collected. Data collected by the data loggers clearly showed that relative humidity rose when SecoAir system™ was off and fell when SecoAir system™ operated.
Performance of our System Supports our Claims
SecoAir system™ was installed in a new house south of Winnipeg in early 2007. Pressure gradient measurements taken at 60 locations on the panel system indicated airflow occurring behind all areas of SecoAir system™ panels, per the system design. It is estimated that the air in the SecoAir system™ wall panel cavity was being exchanged 3 to 5 times per minute, and average air velocity in the channels in SecoAir system™ wall panels was about 25 feet per minute.
The homeowner reported that moisture removal by the system during the first month of operation was about one litre per day. After this initial drying stage of operation, the SecoAir system™ runtime significantly declined as did moisture removal. The homeowner observed that SecoAir system™ operation increases in the days following heavy rainfalls.
