SecoAir Systems : Crawl Spaces
Crawl spaces are not just found in older homes, where they often exist in place of a full basement. In new homes, you will often find suspended wood basement floors that are meant to add comfort to the lower level living space. The typical suspended wood basement floor is placed over a crawl space that has a gravel surface covered by a vapor barrier. Wood frames support the sub-floor of the basement floor.
Unfortunately, in old homes and new, the crawl space can become a hotbed for mold incubation.
The problem is that excess moisture commonly seeps into the crawl space. Without air movement and moisture removal, this can lead to decay, odors and mold. Excess moisture also creeps upwards and contributes to a damp and clammy basement.
SecoAir System™ for Crawl Spaces
A blower and dehumidifier are the main mechanical components of SecoAir System™ Crawl Space. The blower circulates and draws air from the crawl space, then carries the moisture to the dehumidifier, which sends it to waste.
The system samples the air twice a day and stays on for approximately 15 minutes to dry remove excess moisture as necessary.
