About Us
John Fernandes witnessed Winnipeg, Manitoba's historic 1997 flood first hand. He watched the flooding of homes, towns and even entire cities as the Red River rose to the highest levels in a century.
He realized that people must have been struggling to keep basement walls dry as the soil surrounding the homes became saturated. Throughout the ordeal, moisture continued to leak into homes not only because of the floodwaters, but also the amount of water imbedded in the concrete.
The dilemma prompted John to invent a system that would control moisture on an ongoing basis. After almost five years of research and development, a prototype was ready for testing.
The testing was completed at Red River College in Winnipeg, Canada. Based on affirmative feedback, a new system was developed and perfected, and NorthAIR Tech was created to bring SecoAir System™ to the market.
